The positions that we will be voting for are, Chairman, 1st Vice Chair, 2nd Vice Chair, Recording Secretary , Corresponding Secretary and Treasurer. A nomination committee has been appointed to handle nominations for these positions. All nominations need to be sent in writing, no later than Monday, June 11, 2012, to:

Dick Bauer: Dinaba1@cox.net: 602-495-1665

In this mailing you will receive the call letter and an invitation to a get to know each other social.

Online you may review the rules which will be our guidelines for the meeting a set of district bylaws for your consideration . Since LD24 is a new district and to save time, I am proposing that we adopt some generic bylaws to get us started. After reorganization we can form a committee to review the bylaws and make any changes that the district deems necessary. Those can be found at:

EGC Meeting

Because of the air conditioning problem at the State HQ, our EGC meeting on May 5th will be held at the Goldwater Institute at 500 East Coronado Rd.

Representatives from the Maricopa County Elections Department will give a presentation on redistricting and their plan on saving the county large sums of money in future elections. This plan will include eliminating 300 to 400 precincts by combining adjoining precincts. They would like your thoughts on the plan since the plan will naturally involve reducing the PC quota by one for each precinct that is eliminated.

Since the topic is of great significance, I plan to devote the entire time to their presentation.

In Memoriam of those who served:

Bill Buck of LD15 died very suddenly in December 2010. Bill spent most of his active PC life in old LD25, but recently became involved in LD15 and had been elected in November as Treasurer. He also did a great job working the booth at the state fair. Bill Buck was a long time PC for the Republican Party. Bill Buck is in our memories today.

Change Of Organizational Meeting Date, and Other Items

Organizational Meeting : The regularly scheduled meeting for Legislative District 15 will be changed from November 18th to December 1. This is due to the special nature of the meeting and the by-laws of Maricopa County Republican Committee.

After each election, we are required to notify each precinct committeeman of an organizational meeting to be held before January. The regulations require 10 days advance notice by mail. In order to comply with the rules, the meeting will be held December 1, 2010.

You will receive the formal call letter soon, informing you of the date change and other pertinent information. I realize that this is going to inconvenience some people, but it is unavoidable. Please understand that failure to change the day of the meeting could negate the results of any decisions made at that reorganization meeting.

The meeting will now be in-compliance with the MCRC by laws. My apology for any inconvenience this may cause.

You will also receive a Proxy for the meeting. If you are unable to make the meeting you may have a person in your precinct vote in your absence. He or she need not be a precinct committeeman but must be a registered Republican residing in your precinct.

Nominations: In addition to voting for the offices of LD 15 Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer, we will also be electing 25 State Committeeman. The state committee meeting will be January 22, probably at Paradise Valley High School, although the site has not been confirmed as of this date. If you are interested in running for any of the above positions contact any of the members of the nominating committee as soon as possible: Milt Wheat at 602-265-4958; Dick Bauer at 602-495-1665; or Joe Abate at 602-222-8337. This is a great way for you to influence what goes on with the County organization. All elected Precinct Committeepersons are eligible to run for any of the above positions. It is a good time to get involved.

Proposed changes to By-Laws: Any and all proposed changes to the MCRC bylaws must be received, in writing, no later than midnight November 30, 2010.

Contact information of the person who is submitting the proposed change must be included, as we may wish to contact them for amplification or clarification.

Please send all such proposed changes to L.tuttle@cox.net
