Organizational Meeting : The regularly scheduled meeting for Legislative District 15 will be changed from November 18th to December 1. This is due to the special nature of the meeting and the by-laws of Maricopa County Republican Committee.After each election, we are required to notify each precinct committeeman of an organizational meeting to be held before January. The regulations require 10 days advance notice by mail. In order to comply with the rules, the meeting will be held December 1, 2010.
You will receive the formal call letter soon, informing you of the date change and other pertinent information. I realize that this is going to inconvenience some people, but it is unavoidable. Please understand that failure to change the day of the meeting could negate the results of any decisions made at that reorganization meeting.
The meeting will now be in-compliance with the MCRC by laws. My apology for any inconvenience this may cause.
You will also receive a Proxy for the meeting. If you are unable to make the meeting you may have a person in your precinct vote in your absence. He or she need not be a precinct committeeman but must be a registered Republican residing in your precinct.
Nominations: In addition to voting for the offices of LD 15 Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer, we will also be electing 25 State Committeeman. The state committee meeting will be January 22, probably at Paradise Valley High School, although the site has not been confirmed as of this date. If you are interested in running for any of the above positions contact any of the members of the nominating committee as soon as possible: Milt Wheat at 602-265-4958; Dick Bauer at 602-495-1665; or Joe Abate at 602-222-8337. This is a great way for you to influence what goes on with the County organization. All elected Precinct Committeepersons are eligible to run for any of the above positions. It is a good time to get involved.
Proposed changes to By-Laws: Any and all proposed changes to the MCRC bylaws must be received, in writing, no later than midnight November 30, 2010.
Contact information of the person who is submitting the proposed change must be included, as we may wish to contact them for amplification or clarification.
