LD 15 Senate Candidate Bob Thomas Quoted in Phoenix Business Journal
Phoenix business owner says he won’t be expanding to Seattle because he’s upset with the Emerald City’s boycott of Arizona over its immigration law.
The Seattle City Council passed a resolution Monday that tells city agencies to refrain from traveling to Arizona and from contracting with Arizona-based companies. Seattle joins Los Angeles, Columbus and Austin among other cities and groups boycotting the state.
The new state law instructs police to ask suspected illegal immigrants for IDs and worker and travel documents.
Bob Thomas, president Bulldog West Equipment Corp., an automotive equipment supplier, wrote the Seattle Times after the Arizona boycott was passed.
“Just to let you know we are canceling our expansion plans to open a branch in Seattle. Your city council should mind its own business or better yet plan to come to Southern Arizona and pick up the litter left by the trail of illegals crossing our border daily,” Thomas wrote.
Thomas is a Republican running for Arizona State Senate in Phoenix. State Rep. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Phoenix, also is seeking that seat.

LD15 Senate Candidate Supports Strong Family Values
The Center for Arizona Policy recently published the latest voting record of our representatives in the LD15 and their support (for or against) legislation that was proposed during the last session.
When looking at the way that I was represented, I was appalled.
It is very important to examine these voting records to best determine if your representative support your own values and vote as you would want them to.
See for your self how your LD15 House and Senate representatives voted by visiting the link below.
See CAP's 2010 Family Issues Voting Record.
When elected, I will continue to sponsor and support issues that have strong family value.

LD15 Senate Candidate Bob Thomas Supports Gov Brewer's "No Laughing Matter" Response
I support Gov. Brewer's response to the comments made recently by our President as being "No laughing matter".
I plan a trip to our southern boarder within the next few weeks to personally visit with our neighbors to the south.
I want to see first hand and discuss their concerns and fears.
If you have not viewed Gov. Brewers comments, please see below.
When elected to the State Senate, boarder issues for "all" Arizona will be a priority.

LD15 Senate Candidate Encourages Spending in Arizona
Protesters have launched a sit in calling on the Governor to veto the bill launching the Country’s first major state enforcement efforts on illegal immigration, protesters like Al Sharpton are asking for a Boycott of the State.
My opinion is the same as was just adopted today by both the U S Chamber of Commerce and the Arizona Chamber of Commerce, that boycott's will only hurt our workers.
The Foreign Trade Division states, "The state’s leading export category is computers and electronic products, which alone accounted for nearly one-third (31 percent), or $4.3 billion, of Arizona’s total merchandise exports in 2009. Other top manufactured exports that year were transportation equipment ($2.5 billion); machinery manufactures ($1.3 billion); and fabricated metal products ($954 million)."
Join me in supporting Arizona by spending your dollars at home, promoting "Made in Arizona".
When elected I will continue to work to support our Chamber, won't you?
